CollegeNote Is Gone: Where to Find CSIT Notes and Solved Questions Now
CollegeNote is gone. Where TU BSc CSIT students can still get notes, solved past questions and syllabus coverage, compared honestly.

CollegeNote was, for years, the default answer when a BSc CSIT student asked where to find notes. It is no longer reliably reachable, and a lot of the material that lived there was uploaded by students rather than checked against the syllabus.
If you landed here looking for a replacement, this is an honest comparison of what is actually available now, including what this site does and does not do.
What students actually lost
- Unit-wise notes for core papers like Data Structures, Operating Systems and DBMS.
- Solved past questions, which were the most valuable part and the hardest to replace.
- Old syllabus PDFs, which are still findable on the TU portal directly.
- Continuity. Links shared in college groups over several years now go nowhere, which is why search results still point at pages that do not load.
The options now, compared
| Source | Notes | Solved past questions | Syllabus mapped | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TU portal | No | No | Official source | Free |
| College group drives | Varies wildly | Rare | No | Free |
| YouTube channels | Video only | Some | No | Free |
| Paid tuition notes | Yes | Sometimes | Usually | Paid |
| notesharu | Yes, all 41 subjects | 2,766 solved | Yes, unit by unit | Free to read |
What to check before trusting any notes
Whatever you end up using, run these four checks. They take a minute and they catch most bad material.
- Does it name the syllabus unit? Notes that are not tied to a unit are usually copied from a textbook for a different course.
- Are the past questions answered, or just listed? A list of questions is not a resource. Most free collections stop at the list.
- Is the working shown on numericals? A final answer with no steps is worthless in an exam that awards method marks.
- Is there a year on the paper? Unlabelled question sets are often from a superseded syllabus.
What this site does
- All 41 BSc CSIT subjects, organised by the official TU syllabus rather than by chapter numbers from a textbook. Full list on the BSc CSIT notes page.
- 2,766 solved past questions, each written as a complete exam answer. Browse them on the past questions page.
- Tiered answers at 1 mark, 5 mark and 10 mark depth, so you can revise at the length the paper actually asks for.
- Numericals worked line by line, in the order you would write them in the exam.
- The syllabus itself, all 322 units, on the syllabus page.
What it does not do
Being straight about this matters more than the pitch.
- It is not a file dump. There are no downloadable PDFs of someone's handwritten notes.
- It does not cover every Nepali university yet. Right now it is TU BSc CSIT, TU BIT, and NEB Class 11 and 12.
- Offline access is not built yet. It works in any phone browser, but you need a connection.
- The answers are AI written and then reviewed. That makes them consistent and syllabus aligned, and it means you should still flag anything that looks wrong.
If you are mid-semester right now
Start with the paper you are weakest in, not the one you like. Open its past questions first and let the paper tell you which units repeat, then read the notes for those units only. That ordering is the single biggest difference between students who pass comfortably and students who run out of time.
BIT students, the same material exists for all 43 subjects on the BIT notes page. Class 11 and 12 students, start from the NEB notes page.
