Terms of Service

1. What notesharu is
notesharu ("the Service", "we") is a study platform for Nepali students, available at notesharu.com and through our mobile apps. It provides AI-generated study material (model answers, flashcards, MCQs, guided lessons, short-form learning videos), organized around official university syllabi and past examination papers. By using the Service you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts
Browsing is free without an account. Interactive features (progress sync, XP, streaks, the leaderboard, flashcards, guided lessons, comments, likes) require signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity on your account. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account data (see the Privacy Policy).
3. Free and paid access
A sample of every subject stays free to read without paying, along with the full chapter notes, the feed, shorts, and the subject and syllabus pages. The rest of the solved answers, the tiered answers, and guided lessons need a paid pass for that program. Everyone also gets a monthly allowance of question scans and AI answers at no cost; the add-on packs below extend it.
Program passes unlock one program for a fixed period. TU BSc CSIT and BIT: Rs 300 for 1 month, Rs 800 for 3 months, Rs 1,500 for 6 months. NEB Class 11 and Class 12: Rs 250 for 1 month, Rs 650 for 3 months, Rs 1,200 for 6 months. A pass covers the program you bought and no other. Add-on packs are one-time credit bundles, not subscriptions: 25 extra scans for Rs 250, and 200 extra AI answers for Rs 250. Credits are consumed as you use them and do not expire on a date.
All prices are in Nepalese Rupees (NPR) and are the full amount payable; no other charges are added by us. Prices and pack sizes may change, but a change never affects a pass you have already paid for. We may add, rename, or retire packages at any time.
4. Payment, renewal and cancellation
Payments are made through eSewa, Khalti, or bank transfer, and are confirmed manually. After paying you submit your payment reference and a screenshot, and we activate your pass once we have matched it against the receiving account. Activation is usually quick but is not instant, and it is not automatic.
Nothing auto-renews. A pass runs for the period you bought and then simply stops. We do not store card details and we never charge you again without a new payment, so there is no subscription to cancel: to stop, do nothing. To continue past the end date, buy another pass. Your account, progress, streaks, and review history survive expiry; only the paid content relocks.
5. Refunds
We refund in full, promptly, when the fault is ours or the payment was a mistake: a payment that was taken but never activated, a duplicate payment for the same period, a pass activated for the wrong program, or content that is unavailable for essentially the whole period you paid for. Contact us at [email protected] with your payment reference and we will return the money to the account it came from.
Outside those cases, a pass is refundable within 7 days of activation if you have made no substantial use of the paid content, at our reasonable discretion. After 7 days, or once a pass has been used substantially, it is not refundable, because the material is delivered in full the moment access opens. Add-on credits are refundable only for the portion not yet consumed. We do not give partial refunds for the unused remainder of a pass you simply stopped using, and we do not refund on the basis of exam results, since we make no guarantee about them (see section 6).
If we suspend your account for breaking these terms, any remaining paid period is forfeited. If we withdraw a program you hold a live pass for, we refund the unused portion.
6. Study content and AI disclaimer
Answers, lessons, and shorts are AI-generated study aids. We work to keep them accurate and aligned to the official syllabus, but they may contain errors and are not a substitute for official course materials. Always cross-check with the official syllabus and your instructor. We make no guarantee about exam outcomes, and "most likely to appear" style indicators are statistical estimates from past papers, never guaranteed questions.
7. Your content
Content you submit (scanned question photos, comments, display name) remains yours. You grant us a license to store and process it to operate the Service (for example, running OCR on a scan to answer it, or showing your comment to other users). Do not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights; we may remove such content and suspend accounts that post it.
8. Our content
The Service's generated study material, design, and software are owned by notesharu. You may use the material for your personal study. You may not scrape, bulk-download, resell, or republish it without our written permission.
9. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the Service, access other users' data, farm XP through automation, or use the Service to cheat in any live examination setting.
10. Third-party services
The Service uses Google Sign-In for authentication and may publish our own promotional content to social platforms such as TikTok. Those platforms have their own terms.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, notesharu is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these terms or change the Service; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
13. Governing law and contact
