Students representing multiple Nepali higher education institutions recently concluded a week-long academic tour focusing on artificial intelligence and digital communication in Sichuan, China. The program operated under an academic collaboration between Tribhuvan University and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC).

The delegation was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Rishikesh Dahal from TU. Seven participants represented Tribhuvan University, including students Anusha Kafle, Diksha Rai, Monika Waiba, Laxman Giri, and Priyanka Sunar from the Central Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. Two students each from Pokhara University and Lumbini Buddhist University, along with one student from Kathmandu University, also joined the initiative.

During the study tour, participants engaged in theoretical sessions and toured facility hubs such as Sichuan TV, Sichuan Newsnet Group, Chengdu National Supercomputing Center, a virtual production studio, an AIGC workshop, and a robot park. Academic leaders, including UESTC Professor Chang Xun and TU Department Head Prof. Dr. Kundan Aryal, confirmed that this second-year exchange framework will continue offering opportunities to students in coming years.
