Details
Tribhuvan University has issued an official request directing university teachers and administrative employees who took study leave but breached their service contracts to contact the Office of the Registrar. The deadline set for these individuals to settle their outstanding matters is the end of Poush 2083. This notice targets individuals who either completely failed to re-join the institution after their leave concluded or left before fulfilling their obligatory post-study service duration.
According to the Personnel Administration Division, the recovery process involves retrieving salaries, allowances, and extra benefits paid during the leave term, along with mandated institutional penalties. So far, the administration has successfully gathered nearly Rs. 165 million from 75 resolved cases. Calculations for ongoing cases show an additional sum of approximately Rs. 215 million that needs to be recovered.
The university administration is continuing its audit to compile complete financial records for all remaining defaulting personnel. Concerned individuals are advised to reach out directly to the university through the dedicated email address [email protected] or visit the Office of the Registrar in person. TU has cautioned that non-compliance within the stated deadline will lead to official legal action based on signed bond agreements and existing institutional regulations.
What this means for students
While this is an administrative recovery notice for university personnel, it highlights TU's efforts to enforce accountability and maintain institutional discipline. Students preparing for their ongoing academic terms should remain focused on their coursework rather than campus administrative updates. If you have questions about academic rules or need study guidance, feel free to ask a question or review how to use TU past questions the right way to prepare for your upcoming exams.
