TU Notes by Faculty and Program: What Exists for CSIT, BIT, BBS, BA and BEd
An honest map of Tribhuvan University notes on notesharu: full unit-wise notes and solved past questions for BSc CSIT and BIT under IoST, and what is available for BBS, BA, BEd and other faculties (syllabus overviews, exam notices and results, not chapter notes).

"TU notes" is a search that means something different to every student who types it. A BSc CSIT student wants unit-wise notes on Operating Systems. A BBS student wants the second-year syllabus and the last five years of questions. A BEd student wants to know when the results came out. Tribhuvan University runs dozens of programs across its institutes and faculties, and no single site has chapter notes for all of them.
This page is the honest version of that map. It tells you exactly what notesharu has for each Tribhuvan University program, what it does not have, and where the material for each one lives. The short answer: full unit-wise notes, solved past questions and flashcards exist for the two IoST computing programs, BSc CSIT and BIT, and for the rest of the university the site carries syllabus overviews, examination notices and results rather than chapter notes.
How TU is organised
Tribhuvan University teaches through institutes (technical fields) and faculties (general fields). The ones students search for most are:
| Institute or faculty | Programs students search for | Notes on notesharu |
|---|---|---|
| Institute of Science and Technology (IoST) | BSc CSIT, BIT, BSc (general) | Full notes and solved past questions for BSc CSIT and BIT; question collection overview for BSc |
| Faculty of Management (FoM) | BBS, BBA, MBS, MPA | Syllabus and past question overviews, exam form, routine and result notices |
| Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FoHSS) | BA, BCA, MA | Exam and result notices |
| Faculty of Education (FoE) | BEd, BICTE, MEd | Result notices |
| Institute of Engineering (IoE) | BE, BArch | Fee and admission notices |
Everything in the first row is a study resource. Everything below it is an information resource. The distinction matters because a page titled "TU notes" that quietly covers only computing would waste the time of every other student who lands on it.
BSc CSIT: 41 subjects, fully covered
The four-year, eight-semester Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology is the program notesharu was built for. All 41 subjects in the current syllabus have unit-wise notes mapped to the official syllabus tree, solved past questions with 1, 5 and 10 mark model answers, an important-questions view that ranks topics by how often they have been asked, and flashcards for revision.
Start from the BSc CSIT program page, which lists the subjects by semester, or from the BSc CSIT notes landing page. The semester-wise guide explains what each paper asks, and the solved past papers guide explains how to use the question collection. The syllabus for each subject, with units and credit hours, is on the BSc CSIT syllabus page.
BIT: 43 subjects, fully covered
The Bachelor of Information Technology, also under IoST and also eight semesters, has the same depth of coverage: 43 subjects with unit-wise notes, solved past questions and flashcards. The BIT program page lists the subjects by semester and the BIT notes landing page is the single-page index. The BIT syllabus guide walks through every semester, and the BIT past questions page collects the solved papers.
If you are choosing between the two programs, CSIT vs BIT sets out the differences in syllabus, entrance and career direction.
Together the two programs make up the TU notes hub: 84 subjects and 5,181 solved past questions, all free to read.
BSc (general science)
The four-year BSc in physics, chemistry, mathematics, botany, zoology and related subjects is run by IoST on an annual system. notesharu does not have chapter notes for it. What it has is an overview of the program's examination question collections and syllabus structure, written from the university's published material: TU BSc general program question collections and syllabus. Entrance results and examination centre notices for the BSc entrance are published as they appear on the exams page.
BBS, BBA and MBS (Faculty of Management)
The Bachelor of Business Studies is the largest program in the university by enrolment, and its students search for notes constantly. notesharu does not have BBS chapter notes. It has two things that are useful: a BBS 2nd year syllabus and past question collection overview, and the stream of Faculty of Management notices that decide a BBS student's year, such as exam form fill-up dates, semester routines, exam centres and results, each published as an article with the official PDF attached. For MBS the equivalent is the MBS syllabus structure and past question overview.
The reason to say this plainly: a management student who expects Operating Systems-style unit notes for Business Statistics will not find them here, and should not be led to think otherwise by a page title.
BA, BCA and BEd
For the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Education, notesharu tracks examination notices and results. The BA fourth-year results, the BCA re-entrance results, the BICTE entrance results and the BEd fourth-year results published by the Office of the Controller of Examinations have each been reported as an article when the office released them. The TU results page gathers the result notices, and the exams page gathers routines, form-filling deadlines and exam centre notices across the university.
No chapter notes exist for these programs on notesharu at present.
What "notes" means on the pages that have them
Where notesharu does have notes, they follow one layout. Each subject page shows the official syllabus tree on the left, unit by unit, and the content on the right in tabs: unit notes, past questions with model answers, important questions ranked by frequency, and flashcards. Every answer is written at the depth the mark weight demands, because the TU theory paper is set in a long-answer group (10 marks each) and a short-answer group (5 marks each). The notes are mapped to the syllabus units published by the university, so they stay in step with the syllabus rather than with any one college's handouts.
Students also share and correct notes. The sajha notes page explains how the shared collection works.
Where to go from here
- Studying BSc CSIT: program page, then your semester.
- Studying BIT: program page, then your semester.
- Any other TU program: the exams page for routines and form notices, the TU results page for results, and the university's own site, linked in the sources, for syllabus documents.
- Not sure which program you are looking at: the Tribhuvan University page lists the institutes and programs the site covers.
The official syllabus for any TU program is published by the university and by the institute or faculty that runs it. Where notesharu has notes, those notes follow that syllabus; where it does not, the syllabus document itself is the place to begin.
